0.15 seconds of fame
Apparently this costume

rates among the top few seen at today's Haunted Halloween at the World Financial Center, according to our local ABC affiliate. Unfortunately, our DVR controls were "unavailable" when I tried to rewind after screaming out "Evelyn's on TV." I'm taping the late night news just in case they repeat.

I'm worried about how he'll survive without us
Evelyn and I are headed to Ohio to visit my parents for about 9 days (thank you for driving us there, Laurel; thank you for driving us back, Mom). Lately, though, John has become quite dependent on her. I hope he'll get by OK while we're gone . . .

Happy, happy birthday, Evelyn dear
Happy, happy birthday, Evelyn dear.
Happy days will come to you all year.
If I had a wish, then it would be . . .
A happy, happy birthday to you from me.
Happy birthday sweetheart. We love you. Sorry your pancakes were rubbery. And don't worry. The presents (and cupcakes) are coming soon. We didn't forget.
